2017 Athletics Day

Today is the day for athletics for fitness. Athletics is about having fun and try your best at athletics not gaving up

my house colour is blue.

The sports that was there is Sprint, Relays, Volleyball, Targat ball, Dodge ball, Tug-o-war, Javelin, Soft ball throw, Discus, Shot put,.

My favourite sport and favourite part of the day is when we finish and     

my favourite game was tug-o-war. I think i done well and i think my friends done well.

The Yoghurt Challenge

On tuesday we had a yoghurt challenge it was very funny,messy,fun.

The challenges Have to have blindfold.
So the game starhen L eone started he miss and got Arthur's nose Arthur smack the yoghurt of Leonie’s his hands. Then it got messy but the game was still going Miss Scanlan pick up the yoghurt and Give it to Leonie so he started.

Facts about blueberries

o you know how blueberries grow? They grow on bushes. Each blueberry is small and round. Many blueberries can grow on one bush. At first, the blueberries are green. The green berries are not ready to eat yet. They need a lot of sun and rain to help them become fat and sweet. When the berries turn blue, they are ripe and ready to be picked. Some farmers grow blueberries in big fields. The people who live nearby can earn money by helping to pick the blueberries. Each one takes a pail out to the field and fills it with blueberries. They work fast so that they can fill many pails. They want to earn as much money as they can. When they are done picking, their fingers are blue from the juice of the berries! After the blueberries are picked, they are put into boxes and sent to stores. People buy the blueberries and take them home to eat. Some people like to wash the berries and eat them one by one. Other people like to cook with blueberries. They make blueberry muffins and pancakes. No matter how you eat them, blueberries taste great!

Cross country

Last week on Friday we had the cross country. The whole school  ran for the cross country but it was year 1 boy first and then is the year 1 girl.

7 min later we were waiting for our turn it is to hot?!. Then it was our turn [finally it's our turn]when we ran and Finished we got a cup of later. so we got to the start line and got Ready for the big run. We got ready set go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

So i ran as fast as I could go the year five boys was squashing me i How to slow down because it looked like I was going to fall so we got out the school there was a lot of mud I went in the puddle I thought it was not deep but it was deep i got Muddy i got and ran i got to the Pt England Beach I was very tired and I had a big stitch then got to the Pt England car pack then to the gate i was i am almost there.

I got to the finish line i was like yes!?!? yess!?! Omg I feel very happy for myself.

Swimming lessons

We went swimming for 3 weeks at GI pools. there is 3 instructor Jed, kat, Jess, i was in Jed’s group

What we done with life jackets was we Learn how to lie on our backs. Huddle a line i like to do the line it is very cool. The huddle is very weird because sometimes your feet might go down It's difficult to control your legs because it goes up on the surface.


I learn How to lie on my back, How to float, float on my stomach, and huddle with other people.

I felt Exhausted, warm,a little bit cold,happy and amazed. I learnt how to Swim bitter float and float better on my stomach.

Help!!

It was a stormy night Until lightning hit the plane and then the power in the plane went off.Me,my mum,my dad,Bear Grylls until boom the plane crashes we were ready to survive the plane crash. We all survived except for some people.We all landed on a island we called the island The stranded deep Island i Invent a hatchet and a axe It was made with rocks, and sticks, with some lyeech strings,. it is very easy to make.

Me my dad made a fish catcher with a bamboo and with a knife. We got the knife from an abandoned boats and my mum said that we should escape with a boat i said no because the boat doesn't have a motor.We need to find another one from a another abandoned boats.

Me my dad invent a cooker. Me my dad made it with lyeech strings, and sticks. We cook the fish it Took 1 minutes to make the fire and it took 30 minutes to cook the fish. We all ate the fish is was not that good.

Today is the day that we escape. We made a boat with string and some sticks. We went to a another island and we saw a boat that had a motor in it. We got the motor and went back to the island me my dad and my mum and Bear Grylls Fixed The boat because the boat had some holes in it. We had to put the motor on we got some oil for the boat my dad put the oil in. My dad started the engine and hooray! the boat started. We all got on the boat except for Bear Grylls he said You guys go without

Now that's thinking

This term we are learning about Technology. Technology is something that is man made and is used to solve a problem. Examples of technology are tables,chairs,laptops,pencil etc. In assembly we talked about Now That’s Thinking!.

What we learn about now that thinking was that we had to learn about man made materials

and human that invent stuff that could make you’re life better.

I am excited for maori Technology has changed over time.

I want to learn about how Technology changed the world.
